Tea tree

The Tea Tree is originally from Australia, from the same family as Eucalyptus (Myrtaceae) but smaller (5 to 8 meters high). It is one of the most well-known aromatic medicinal plants. The aboriginal peoples of Australia have used it for millennia because of its many medicinal properties.

Tea tree essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fresh leaves. The resulting oil is high in monoterpene alcohols and terpene oxides.

The oil is known for being a highly potent and well-tolerated anti-infective. It is a broad-spectrum antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, immunostimulant, antiasthenic, cardiac tonic, venous decongestant, neurotonic, and radioprotector.

It is recommended for use in cases of: acne, canker sores, herpes, gingivitis, ORL conditions, genital infections, varicose veins, asthenia (exhaustion), nervous exhaustion, and depression. This preventive oil is highly useful for preparing the body for surgery or radiotherapy.
